On the first day of school, we all had to rise and shine a little earlier than usual. I'm wondering how many years I'll take pictures like this.
We even had an extra family member to get going and ready. But thank goodness everyone was happy.
Our big girl ready for her first day of Jr. K!
Before we even got to school, I was explaining that I was going to walk Ella into school and to her classroom. She was not thrilled about this. "But Mom, can't you just take me up to the teachers and let me walk in? And then you can come in to my classroom?" In her biggest teenager voice, my newly turned four year old was already lobbying to go in by herself so she didn't have to walk with me. I tried to tell her that every other day I will drop her off at the car rider line, but not today. Not on the first day. She continued and continued until she finally understood I wasn't budging. I mean really? She's four. She shouldn't already be embarrassed by me!
After we walked in together, Ella unpacked her bag and went right in to start her day. She's an old pro by now...

I'm so glad you are catching us all up. We really must find a time for me to meet Ms. Emily. I love the new look on your header. Such a sweet photo. Are you guys like us, holding your breath while the "sweet sisters" thing lasts? I just know a day will come when mine don't love each other to pieces, but it sure is sweet while it lasts.
