Just Stuff

There's not much going on around The Shad Shack these days. I've really just been hanging out with my favorite girl. Daddy's been gone a lot lately. Lots of weekdays, which is normal, but lots of weekends too. He'll pop in for a night or two and then be on his way again. Ella asks for him about 5,491 times a day. When she's not getting her way or trying to get out of a nap or sleeping it's the worst. But any other random time is game too. We've celebrated lots of birthdays this month: Uncle Jake, Pawpaw, Gigi, MeMe, and some other family and friends. Kate, Cooper, and Aunt Lindsey all have big days ahead soon as well.

School's going well for Ella. She's loves her teachers and has made new friends. She's not the best reporter of information. She tells me they "didn't do anyfing" at school, but then she'll talk about Mrs. Melissa's bible, repeat the verse ("In the beginning, God created the heavens and earth. Genesis 'One to One'"), and talk about the playground and friends on a totally different occasion. They've been getting coins in a treasure box and once they get 5 they get to go the "big treasure box." I have absolutely NO clue how many she has. Her stories vary from day to day. I'm taking the stance that if Mrs. Melissa doesn't say anything, there's nothing I should worry about.

We're also princess obsessed around the house. Disney World has turned Ella's whole mindset to princesses. She wants to be Snow White for Halloween, and wants to watch the princess movies nonstop. She's also taken a new liking to Minnie Mouse, although I must admit she still loves some Dora. She has a Dora watch that doesn't leave her arm for any length of time. You can see it in the picture above.

Other than that, that's about all that's going around The Shad Shack.
