Emily, you are EIGHT MONTHS OLD today!
At eight months you:
- Weigh 20lbs and 1oz and are 27.5 inches in length.
- Wear a size 3 diaper and 9-12 month clothes
- Take 25 ounces of formula (125g Periflex, 33 g Similac) and 5 exchanges or 75mg Phe a day.
- Are eating ok. When you are feeling your best (we can't keep these ear infections away) you do pretty well with your formula. It's by far the hardest to force. You are starting to like baby food...finally!
- Eat things that are primarily high in Phe: green beans, sweet potatoes, bananas, and peas
- You'll eat a french fry that's mushed up every now and then when we're out. There's not too much you can try right now.
- Your phe levels have been low...still. It seems like we can't get the formula just right. And it's frustrating. But I know we'll get there and God has you in His hand no matter what. I do the best I can and just can't worry about the rest.
- You are still sleeping well. And for that, I can't complain.
- You LOVE people. You are just as social as you can be. You make all sorts of sounds and are very good at imitating others' sounds and words.
- You just have the people at the gym just wrapped. You know just when to smile, whine, or flash those baby blues. They constantly ooh and ah over you, and when they don't...well you reel them back in. You are constantly held there!
- You won't crawl. Just aren't interested. And I don't see it coming anytime soon.
- You are strong willed. For real. I've never in my life seen a child fight and resist like you. I have a feeling it's just the beginning.
- And then you smile. And somehow we forget all about your stubborness.
- You are an open book. Anyone around you knows how you feel. When you are happy you laugh, cackle, and smile bigger than your little cheeks should allow. It's the best thing ever.
