Good News, Good Times

Today has been quite the busy day for us. Ella had a check-up with Dr. Bruce (her orthopedic doctor) this morning. After an x-ray and some discussion on the brace for nighttime wear, we were happy to hear that her hips are doing great! I know you probably can't tell from the x-ray or remember from the last hip post but the left hip seemed a little weak last time and she was put into a different, more rigid brace for nighttime wear. This x-ray shows that the hips (especially the left) show continued progression. We were more than pleased to hear this. Dr.Bruce did, however, say that he would like for Ella to continue to sleep in the brace for "about another year." Aww, shucks...the dream come true would've been "No More". We are, however, grateful for the good report and will continue to follow doctor's orders...as long as Ella doesn't learn how to get the brace off! The next check up is in 6 months- when Ella will almost be TWO- is that possible?

After Ella's appointment, we stopped by to see...

I tell you, that Daddy has been quite the trooper this week! He wasn't too keen on actually riding The Pink Pig, but while Ella "weeee"'d herself around the track twice...

...Daddy was the handsome onlooker!

I tell you, she loved The Pink Pig, but we weren't finished quite yet! We finished off our fun with a "naked dog" from none else than the Varsity (which went great with my gallbladder and gallstones...more on that later).

Yay for fun days with the whole family!
