Our first stop on Christmas Day was to MeMe and Papa's house. There we ate our untraditional traditional meal: steaks, salad, and potatoes. Then...in all the craziness we opened presents. This year, each of the kids got scooters and from MeMe and Papa, helmets from Uncle Erik, and Ella got a recharging station from Mamaw and Papaw. The kids were crazy over the scooters and it kept them quite occupied! Baby E also got some gifts...diapers, wipes and other fun necessities.
Seriously, this face?!? Only from a three year old.
Uncle Erik wrapped all their helmets in one huge box. Papa put all their names on them (but they also matched their scooters).
Then we headed to Gigi and Papa's house where Ella found a massive pile of princess-wrapped presents. She got princess dress up clothes (dresses, shoes, crowns...you know, the works), a V-Tech KidzJam which is a music making station complete with an IPod that you can record to, and honestly so much other stuff I can't name it all!
...and then the she opened the Pillow Pet. Oh my goodness this child rode this ladybug around like a horse for close to an hour. Good call, Uncle Jake and Brynn!
And then we called it a day. It was a wonderful day with family, and we all got way too much stuff. But most of all, we're thankful for a sweet baby named Jesus. He's the real reason to celebrate.
