This Thanksgiving was a big day for me! On this day, I did two things that I've never done before. The first one started bright and early:

I ran my first 5K! And I do mean ran. You see, that was one of my only goals: 1) don't walk and 2) don't die. The good thing about it was I did neither. I run slower than most walk, so for this race I wasn't concerned with my time, but I was shocked proud when I finally crossed the finish line. It can't go without saying that I've had some amazing encouragement and support. The first person is standing to my right in this post-race picture and the other wasn't able to run this race (as she was already on her way to her Thanksgiving festivities), but they both offer support at least three days a week as I've been working my tail off (I only wish I meant that literally) for the last few months. Thanks Cathy and Kora!
After the morning, I hurried off to prepare for the next big part of my day....Thanksgiving lunch. That's right, I cooked just like a grown-up. Even the dressing. And no one got sick either. I absolutely cannot believe I didn't take a single picture of the family, the food, or the fun. I was a little preoccupied, and hopefully if I ever do it again, I'll remember to take a picture for the memories!
I'm thankful today for a Thanksgiving full of firsts! What a fun day!
