The very next morning, all four of us woke up early to take you to your first doctor's appointment. Instead of waiting until one week, the neonatologist suggested we go the next day for a weight check and to check your bilirubin levels because you were jaundice (and he didn't want us to wait over the weekend). You had lost a little weight so we ended up going back several times after that to make sure you were gaining correctly (and you did) and the jaundice eventually went away but left you with a little "baby tan" for a couple of weeks.
Everything at this appointment went well. Ella was super excited to show you off to everyone at the doctor's office (they already know her well around there), especially to Dr. Youngblood.
