During Ella's September break we took a family trip to the beach. This was much anticipated and even more enjoyed. We soaked up rare family time by hanging out at the beach, swimming in the pool, or just playing around at the house or in town. There was NO one there so it was like having the beach all to ourselves. And for the first few days Ella had free run of the sand and waves. The last part of the week there was a horrible jellyfish infestation so she had to find her beach fun on dry land (which she does not prefer).
And seriously this kiddo slept on the beach in this swing, in the shade for hours (like three or four hours) at a time. It was amazing.
She got pretty pooped from all the playing too.
And for memory's sake, Ella told her Daddy for her fourth birthday she wanted that glass carriage and horses like Princess Kate: "You know the one on TV, Daddy" (think William and Kate's royal wedding. Yep she's a tad obsessed). So when we saw these carriage rides around Old St. Augustine it seemed like the perfect way to spend an evening. Ella was in absolute heaven. I mean she pretty much had her jaw dropped for the entire hour we rode around. She loved that the carriage had flowers and purple lights...

We had more fun, but that's for another post...
