Our Easter is always cram packed and this post reflects that!
The night before Easter we made Resurrection Rolls and did the Easter story with Ella's Resurrection Eggs.
The next morning, Ella saw that the Easter Bunny came to see her. She went through an assortment of princess loot, stuff for summer, and a Bambi movie and then it was off to get ready for church.
Church was awesome. It was a wonderful time of reflecting and remembering why we have a reason to celebrate on Easter. I also had nursery (my week always seems to "fall" on Easter Sunday). That was, ahem, exhausting.
After church, we went to see Gigi and Poppy. Ella found a basket there with stuff she'd been eyeing at the store for a few weeks (and hasn't stopped playing with since).
Daddy tried his hardest to wheel and deal some of her Easter candy away.
She took a few pictures with Gigi and Poppy, Grandmother, and her specific request was one with Abby.
After that we loaded back up and went over to Meme and Papa's house for lunch and egg hunting. Wow, this egg hunting business is crazy with all these kids. I can't even catch them all in action! And every year there seems to be another added ;).
Have I mentioned that Ella is obsessed with dandelions?! Loves them. Says they're her "most favorite flower." Good thing for her, we aren't exactly a family of garderners...
And the "grandkids" pic. Oh man, this year's was comical...as you can well tell. This was the best out of the close to 50 that I took.
I think our whole house crashed after the day's festivities. One thing I don't want to forget:
