We were awfully busy around the Shad Shack on Valentine's Day. Ella got lots of treats and goodies:
This adorable "da" (dog) and a box of chocolates from Grammy, Pawpaw Earl, and Uncle Casey,

This puppy (that she has so appropriately named, "Nena") from Pawpaw and Nena,

And this "Bea" (bear) that she got from Daddy, and will not put down.

Plus she got some cash from Grandpa and Grandma Harrison and Grandma Bone, a stuffed dog from GiGi and Pops a little early, a Fridge Farm from Kate, Aunt Kora, and Uncle J, and some books from Papa and MeMe (that you'll be seeing on a separate post). Thank you ALL! Ella is way more than loved and we are way more than blessed to have you all. Oh yeah, I gave her a baby pack-n-play to corral all those babies in!
Daddy took Ella to Chick-fil-A for a daddy/daughter Valentine's Day date. I'm sure they had a great time...but of course, there are no pictures to share. :(
Ella spent the evening with GiGi, Pops, and Uncle Jake while we went out for the evening. We alternate planning Valentine's Day each year. This year was my year and I was so excited about the fun little scavenger hunt I had planned. First stop:

If you haven't ever tried it, find one and eat there! The food is amazing and not overpriced. The only problem? Apparently, the call ahead seating request I made almost two months ago was more like a reservation since it was Valentine's Day and they would only honor it for 15 minutes. We were 3 minutes late. UGH! This is just supposed to be the highlights, so I'll spare the details, but we left there in search of a different place to eat (I'm thinking Taco Bell will be tops for tonight). Totally disappointed, until we found:

A Thai and sushi restaurant that was NOT crowded. So, we turned around and took the plunge (neither of us ever having tried Thai food). I'm thrilled we actually found somewhere that we could sit down and enjoy each other's company. and there was even candlelight. We enjoyed the sushi and enjoyed the first bite of our entrees. Why the first bite? Because we couldn't taste the rest! One word that I would use to describe this Thai food...hot!
Earl is NOT exaggerating in this picture either............The next clue Earl received sent us here:

I am so glad you guys had fun! We had planned to try to go to the Punchline, too, but decided to just relax at Vinocity longer. I've been wanting to go! I bet Earl loved it! That would have been too neat if we'd ended up there at the same time!
