To the "Little Girl" With Love

I have been filling up a shoebox for Operation Christmas Child for as long as I can remember. Last year, I filled a box and sent it in Ella's name (as well as with our CORE group, which we also did this year). But this year, Ella got to fill it up. All by herself. We had previously talked about how we were going to pick out presents for another "little girl." Since she was shopping for a girl between the ages of 2-4, I let her pick out whatever she wanted. I was afraid she wouldn't understand when the time came to give the goodies away, but she kept choosing things, only to turn around and say, "This for the little girl, Mommy."

Stopping to "refine" the decisions and make sure everything would fit in the box!

Paying for the items

Now we're ready to start packing!

Daddy and Ella wrapped the box.

She was very excited to put everything in.

Closing it up tight.

Now it's ready to go!

Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
