Yesterday I had the opportunity to join many longtime friends and church members (nearly 100) in a Youth Choir Reunion Concert in order to honor my former music minister, Mr. Reed Benson. He is celebrating 20 years of service this month at FBC Stockbridge (the church that I grew up in) and I was glad to be a part in a wonderful way of honoring his service. We gathered for an afternoon whirlwind practice and then sang 13 songs during evening worship.
These guys got to stay in "big church" and see it. They did good. Except after this one song in complete silence, I heard, "Yay, Ella". That was, of course, followed by laughter by the entire congregation and my red face. I'm sure that was the big hint that it was indeed, my child. She'll be staying in the church nursery for quite some time.

Afterwards they had a reception, which was a great time to see so many people that have guided, taught, and shaped me into the person I am today (which could be good and bad :)). I also got to catch up with many old friends.
Here's the loudmouth with her new bud, Abby.
Congrats on 20 years, Mr. Reed!
