Half Birthday

Emily, you are SIX MONTHS old today!

Where has the time gone?!?

At six months you:

• weigh 17lbs 9oz and are 26.5" long.
• wear a size 2 diaper and 3-6months/6months clothes and a size 2 shoe. Mainly because I'm making you wear Ella's clothes.
• Sleep great! From about 9 to 8:30 when I don't wake you for school. You get up at 7:30 those mornings. You take a small nap in morning and then a long nap in the afternoon.
• Take 26oz of formula and 15mg of phe in vegetable form and 15mg of phe in fruits. A 15mg serving of phe is called an exchange. You take one exchange of fruit, vegetable, and rice cereal. You just started fruits this week so it's still pretty new to you.
• Do ok eating with a spoon. You still push a lot out with your tongue. You are so, so, so messy! 
• Love to be swaddled. Aunt C bought you a different swaddle called a Woombi and it's awesome! No escape artists anymore!
• Your Phe levels this month have been in range! Praise God. Literally all month long. I'm hoping and praying it's all getting a little more under control. The ups and downs were wearing on me.
• You still roll from tummy to back when you want. No rolling from back to tummy and aren't officially sitting up yet. I don't think it's as much of an ability thing as a motivation. You just don't want to. You are so, so close!
• You make the /g/,/d/, /b/, and /l/ sounds. A lot. A whole lot. Man you're a talker!
• You are using your hands now to grab and move things around. You're a pro with the paci now.
• You truly love everyone. Smile huge smiles anytime anyone talks to you. You laugh, cackle and are ticklish.
• You are such a joy in our family and just can't imagine life without you! Love you so, so much sweet girl!

Now stop growing up so fast, would you? Please?
