New Year's Eve

Truett's (Chick-fil-a) does a New Year's Eve Nugget Drop every year, and although we've never been before, this year we decided to give it a try. Anything free brings lots of crowds and lines, but we had fun and the girls did too even though we stayed up way past their bedtime. They got to do different jumpy things and even got a milkshake in the cold. We stood in line for these bungy jumper things, but they closed the line before the big girls could get to it. Emily was a great sport, again, and had lots to look at with all the music, people, and stuff going on. And we honestly haven't seen too much of Kate over the break because we've been busy with family, so the girls enjoyed spending time with each other.

We kept telling Ella we could leave whenever she wanted, and of course she waited until 11:30 to say she was ready to leave. So we made our way out to the car. Once we loaded up, got buckled in, and began to head off, I asked Ella what her favorite part was. She said, "Well, my favorite part was the big nugget, but I didn't get to see it fall." So Earl and I sighed, and pulled over so that Ella could watch it drop from the car.

What a way to ring in the new year. Wouldn't have had it any other way. :)
