Ella went to spend a little bit of time at Pawpaw and Nena's house one afternoon, so we took the chance to get the tree and some of the decorations up while she was gone. When we got back from dinner, before Ella arrived, look who made an appearance? Meet Kayla, the Shad Shack's elf:
Once we read the story of Elf on a Shelf and got that excitement under control, we set to decorating the tree. Ella was super helpful this year in the tree decorating process. Daddy got her a step stool and she went to town, grouping several ornaments together. But they were carefully selected and placed, so I left them for the most part.
Em just slept the whole time. :)
