Lots of Tots

Today Ella and I met with some teacher friends (and their kids) that I taught with at Ola. Jana, Stacey, and I all met at Kora's house for lunch and catching up time. We had a great time seeing the kids and talking, since we don't see each other that often. Our party moved outside to the pool after lunch so the kids could be entertained.

Jana, the best teacher in the world, has two beautiful teenage girls, Sarah and Emily, who we used relate with when we had no children of our own. We'd always listen to Jana and laugh about all the high school stories because "it hadn't been that long." Now that Stacey, Kora, and I all have kids, we listen much more intently to Jana as a "mama" so we know what we have to look forward to! And today, ironically enough, it was Stacey, Kora and I who were hopping around and doing all the parenting because Jana's girls are all self-sufficient and doing their own thing. I know on the inside Jana just laughed at us all!

But the kids did have fun, especially Stacey's oldest, Tripp (he's two and a half). He jumped and jumped and swam until he was tired out. And the three girls (they are all about the same age) just relaxed in their floats and splashed around...oh the life!

It's so great to get together with friends and watch your kids interact with each other. Of course I'm sure in a couple of years it will become much more interesting! We had a great day together and we'll look forward to it again soon...when Jana and Stacey get a break from school and Stacey makes her way back from Madison.

Ella, Kate (Kora's daughter), and MaKinley (Stacey's daughter) relax in their floats as Tripp takes a swim break to pose for a picture.
