Ella had her very first birthday shindig this weekend...and it was exactly that...a BIG shindig! Until I am able to post some pictures of her at the party, I wanted to share with you my favorite detail of her day. The cake was absolutely beautiful! Her party was ice cream- themed, and my mom did an excellent job of creating the exact replica of this difficult cake that I had in my head. Each tier was a different flavor (chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry) and even though it was covered in fondant I thought it tasted wonderful! She even made the topper (a yellow one with a cherry on top) so that it went along with the theme of the cake.
