This Wednesday we went for an 18 month check-up. Here's Ella waiting patiently on Dr. Chin. Yep, she's reading an allergy pamphlet. I told you she likes to read!
We got a lot of information at this appointment.
The good news:
- She's growing like she should be. Her weight is 24.5 pounds (50th percentile) and her height is 32.5 inches (75th percentile).
- She is talking and developing at an appropriate rate. She gladly said all of her family and friends' names, along with hey, bye, uh-oh, etc. She also pointed to her nose and feet (she knows more but I think Dr. Chin got the gist)
- Her right ear that was infected 2 weeks ago looked good.
- This was the best news of all: 18 Month olds do NOT have to get shots!!
The not-so-good news:
- She's having major tummy and poop issues. Without going into details, let's just say I'm scooping poop for tests. (Oh SO gross!!)
- Her left ear is now infected. If she isn't completely clear in 3 weeks we'll be going to visit an ENT.
- Her chest isn't clear from all the crud she had 3 weeks ago. We were given a third medicine for the nebulizer to give her once a day to try and get that junk outta there!
After leaving the doctor we headed out to get the newest prescription filled and then went to Publix to get some things I needed for a dinner I was helping provide for a family at church. Of course, Ella loved that because she got to drive and eat a cookie. Do you get your kids a free cookie when you go to Publix? Go over to the bakery section and they'll gladly give them one on each visit. Where shopping is a pleasure! Oh, and by the way, I have forgiven them, even though they changed EVERYTHING around on me!

Look at you and your "go green" bags! Supermom, that you are!
you'll have to give me the dish on the poop! I am getting early signs Preston might join the constipated club Jackson was in at age 2 and 3. :( I am trying to nip that in the bud before it begins. If she's having some diarrhea, that was what Jackson began with. Email me and let's talk. :) about what? Poop!
