April is strawberry season in the south, so we headed on down to Twin Oaks Fun Farm with Aunt Kora, Kate, and Aunt C for a firsthand experience. After discussing it, we realized this was a "first" for the entire gang. Beautiful grounds, sunny weather, good company, and yummy strawberries. It just doesn't get much better than that!
After taking over 200 pictures, I'll give you the details in an abbreviated version:

Ella quickly picked up the task at hand and got straight to work.

Except for getting a little sidetracked. She tried to eat faster than we could pick 'em!

Ok. So maybe she wasn't the only one.

The finished product. Minus the, um, 9 or 10 already consumed.

Heading out of the patch with the strawberries. See the "guilt" all over their clothes?

After weighing our strawberries we sat down in the shade to enjoy some delicious strawberry ice cream. And I do mean delicious. I am a self-confessed professional when it comes to ice cream.

From about 30 feet away, Kate spotted some animals. She began waving and headed off to see them. Ella was, of course, right behind her. A little hesitant at first, but she didn't mind the llama (or horsie as she called it) from a safe distance. In this picture, I think the llama's curiosity was a little too close for comfort from Ella's perspective.
Once Kate had already committed and had the whole gang following her, she changed her mind about those animals, after all.
As we headed back from our visit with the animals we took a moment to catch a few cute pics.
Until this time next year...
