Playing Poolside

As a break away from the beach, we also enjoyed the pool. Just like last year, Kate was a little jump-a-roo, but for some reason Ella wasn't as willing.

She was just happy jumping from the steps. She also happily cheered Kate on.

But then, we were wrapping up our swim time and she insisted that she could jump. First she watched Kate.

She thought about it,

and thought some more. She even gave herself a pep talk. "I just know I can do it!" she kept saying to herself. Her dear friend offered encouragement as well as Kora and I.

And eventually she jumped! All on her own without any push from us! We all cheered with excitement over her bravery and willingness to conquer her fears. And it was the neatest thing to watch.

This girl. She's just getting too big.
