After wrapping up all the Easter festivities, we hopped on a southbound plane. These girls were a little more than excited, counting down for over 2 weeks. I asked Kate how many days until the beach the day before we left and she told me, "Two weeks." When I corrected her and told her it was only one more day, she looked at me confused, then her mama and said, "No, Mama said two weeks!" They might not have been able to keep up with the exact days until departure, but they knew they were going to the beach, together, on a plane.
They handled the hustle of Hartsfield like champs and only got a little crazy excited when it was time to get out of their strollers and walk through security. This was an evening flight and we boarded about the time they usually go to bed, but they were great. Once we got up in the air, they hopped in a seat together and spent the whole time watching a movie.
The next day we had to do all the fun things like go to the grocery store and get things unpacked and situated, so we spent our afternoon around the playground and walking trails. We enjoyed the warmer weather and gorgeous day so much!
Can you believe these two kiddos slept in the same bed together without any problems? No giggles until midnight and only one threat during naptime, but they were such big girls! They did, however, find it quite amusing to go in their room, close the door, and jump on the beds. Whatever, it was vacation...
We spent lots more time at the beach, pool, and other fun places. Stay tuned...
