He Can't Really Be Four

It seems like just yesterday I went to wish this little guy Happy Birthday:

But apparently it wasn't yesterday, because this is the same little guy that I wished Happy Birthday to today:

Jackson, age 4, in all his glory. Helping us sing to him the Happy Birthday song with his new microphone. Oh, it was so darn cute...to be 4 again...

He was such a thankful gift opener. Every gift was the coolest he'd seen- that one was the one he wanted opened. He had dads, aunts, grandparents, and even me opening presents as fast as we could!

He did get some really cool gifts. This gift below, a microphone that had a speaker in its stand, topped Ella's favorites. She loved the electric guitar he got too.

Not only did he have neat presents, but he had a bouncy slide too! Boy did Ella love that. Here's Felicia being the good sport taking Ella down it...both forwards and backwards! :)

Jackson was such a good friend to Ella. Even when she was being a pest, chasing around his new remote control cars, he just patiently waited for her and even showed her how to have a turn! Patience and sharing...Jackson has no idea how big of a deal that is for a 4 year old! He was so sweet with her.

It's so hard to believe that he's actually four now. It's been so neat to watch him grow into such a handsome, sweet, lively, and incredibly smart little boy! Did I say I can't believe he's four? Where does the time go?
