This Might Not Be a Monet to You...

...but it may as well be to me! Introducing Ella's first masterpiece created solely by her:

I think that Ella is turning a corner with her creative abilities. I have tried crayons, finger pants, and all sorts of artistic utensils in the past with Ella- to no avail. She wasn't interested and the experience was more frustrating than fun...until yesterday.

I tried again, convinced that eventually she'd get the hang of it. This time it worked! Instead of screams there were smiles and the crayons went on the paper instead of her mouth (ok- maybe a couple of times). She didn't need (or want) any help from me- which suited me just fine. It's so neat to watch her grow...2 days ago she wanted nothing to do with crayons and just yesterday she became a budding artist (ok, maybe that's a stretch)!

Nonetheless, I'm hoping this will be the beginning of some fun times to come!
