Proud Mama

Yesterday was a wonderful day for me. Not because I am so deserving of breakfast in bed (as Earl politely told me that I would not be getting until Ella is old enough to understand- if you know him you get this) or being lavishly favored with gifts and kind words. Because I'm not. Really. The day was wonderful to me because I took the time, really took the time, to thank God for allowing me the opportunity to be a mom. I do this frequently, but yesterday it just seemed more sincere, more real. I have been blessed with the opportunity to raise the most precious little girl I've ever known and I sometimes I forget the "bigness" of it all. What a responsibility. What a privilege.

You probably don't know it, but I've been sitting in a metal, folding chair while Ella plays outside in "her" grass (yep, she says, "my grass"). So how perfect was it that I got one of these for Mother's Day...

Plus 3 more and table to go with it. Playtime will be much more comfortable from here on out.

To all the wonderful moms (and grandmas, sisters, aunts, and friends) in our life, we are thankful for you and love you all!
