Toes in the Sand

This was a heavily documented trip, so for fear of my computer exploding I'm going to give last week to you a little at a time. Plus, it keeps you coming back for more. :)

First off, Ella was an amazing car rider. Along with a DVD player and headphones, she brought her two best TV friends: Elmo and Jack. I could so get used to this:

We arrived in the evening, so Ella didn't get her first view of Myrtle Beach until the following morning. She still loved it.

First stop: The Sand. Ella didn't eat near the amount of sand she ate last year. I have to admit she did sample it once, but that was all it took. This year's focus was all about playing in it. When selecting these pictures, I noticed that most of them are either side or back shots. That's because this child was in action for eight solid days!

She had a great playmate.

Here's how I found out she tried the sand:

In honor of Ella's Uncle J, Daddy dug a huge hole for her to play in. And, well, she did just that.

Note: This is not OSHA approved.

She also enjoyed the "build it up just to knock 'em down" game. I only played that about 3 times. What can I say, I'm a sore loser.

The sand wasn't the only fun part of the trip. Stay tuned...
